Waste Tank for RICOH/Sawgrass printers

One of the primary benefits of RICOH and Sawgrass printers for sublimation is the automatic maintenance they perform. To maintain optimum performance, ink is routinely flushed through the print heads to ensure the nozzles remain clear. The waste tank is used to collect and store ink that is flushed through the print head during maintenance cycles. The waste tank is compatible with RICOH SG3110/SG7100 as well as Sawgrass SG400/SG800 & SG500/SG1000 printers.

Instructions for replacement:

1. Open the ink door cover on the front right of the printer; the same location where you would install new ink cartridges. The waste tank is located just below the ink cartridges.
2. Wait 5 seconds, then remove the existing waste tank by pressing on the tab marked "PUSH" and pulling it out of the printer. Keep the waste tank level to avoid potentially spilling any ink stored inside and place inside a plastic bag (sealable bag preferred).
3. Slide the new waste tank unit into the printer until you hear it click, then close the ink door cover.
4. Dispose of the old waste tank per federal, state, or local instruction.
